Fukuoka City’s unique initiative for the proliferation of flower beds around the city, One Flower One Citizen, takes new steps this year. The city is calling for flower bed owners to register as “One Flower One Citizen partner.” Registered participants will appear in the partner list on the project’s official website with images of their flower beds. Also, a newsletter will share information related to flowers. The initiative, which had started one year ago relying on companies’ sponsorships and residents’ volunteers, aims to step up to a more interactive project that creates solid connections between the participants and the city.
