An outline of results of the first Kyushu tourism survey targeting tourists from USA, Germany, France, UK, and Australia was released by the Kyushu District Transport Bureau and Kyushu Economic Research Center during a symposium on November 30. Seven hundred fifty people took the survey and answered places and contents they are interested. The report revealed that Kawachi Wisteria Garden in Kitakyushu City ranked 1st followed by other spots with the charm of nature. Meanwhile, food and onsen cultures are less recognized with only 12~23% of the participants showing interests. The survey was conducted to attract more attention from tourists of non-Asian countries. A detailed report will be available around the end of December. Source: Yomiuri Shimbun, 12/1/2018
