Kitakyushu City’s water treatment system has been adopted by a purification plant in Haiphong, Vietnam. The project is expected to cost approximately ¥2 billion. Kitakyushu is working on developing technology to support water and sewage services overseas. The U-BCF technology uses microorganisms to safely remove ammonia and organic matter from tap water.
