Kyuden and Saibu Gas Employees Took Leave on January 4

Kyushu Electric Power (Kyuden) and Saibu Gas have revealed that a large percentage of their workforce took paid leave on January 4. Both companies encouraged their employees to take the day off so that they would be able to enjoy an extended break during the New Year’s period and return to work refreshed. Approximately 40% of Kyuden staff (equating to nearly 5,000 people) and 70% of Saibu company employees took vacation on January 4. Source: Nikkei Shimbun, 1/7/2019
