Kyushu Electric Power (Kyuden) announced on August 24 that they plan to open an overseas liaison office in New York this November. Kyuden has recently been expanding their business interests overseas and are involved in a number of American-based projects. This will be the first office that the company has established in the United States. The branch will help manage their business interests and provide a platform for the company to gain a better understanding of the U.S. market. One staff member has been assigned to the office. However, this number might increase in the future. Source: Nihon Keizai (Nikkei) Shimbun, 8/24/2018
