The Kyushu Economic Federation announced the launch of Kyushu International Medical Organization on Feb. 6. Medical facilities in Kyushu and Okinawa area are currently facing challenges to provide full services and treatments to international patients. As the number of foreign residents and visitors in the area increases, better medical accessibility is becoming essential for both medical and economic sectors. The new industry-government organization will take approaches to themes including language and religious barriers. Kyushu University Hospital Director, Koichi Akashi, will lead the organization together with representatives of 12 other hospitals. Source: Kyushu Economic Federation, 1/28/2019
