Nishi-Nippon Railroad Co., Ltd. (Nishitetsu) announced that they plan to temporarily move their head office from the Fukuoka Building in Tenjin to the Hakata Center Building at the end of March 2019. The company will relocate their headquarters while major construction is carried out on the Fukuoka Building complex. A total of 700 employees will be transferred to the company’s new home, which is located very close to Hakata Station. The Fukuoka Building refurbishment is scheduled to be completed in 2024, but it is not yet clear if Nishitetsu will return. Source: Mainichi Shimbun, 7/24/2018
