Rizing Zephyr Fukuoka announced on June 5 that Fukuoka natives Takafumi Horie and Takeshi Aso have been appointed as non-executive directors of the team. Both business persons have experience in the world of sports and it is expected that the move will help provide extra support to the franchise. Mr. Horie has served as a J. League adviser while Mr. Aso has previously spent time working for sports manufacturers. Rizing were recently crowned B2 league champions, gaining promotion in the process.
