Water Levels Decrease in Fukuoka Dams

The volume of water available at the Hyugami (Yame City), Minamihata (Nakagawa-machi), Aburagi (Soeda-machi), and Rikimaru (Miyawaka City) Dams has decreased following the end of rainy season. Statistics published on September 11 show that water storage levels across Fukuoka Prefecture main dams (excluding Oyama) is now at 55.1 percent. Oyama Dam is located in Oita Prefecture, but supplies water to the Chikugo area in Fukuoka. This is approximately 20% lower than average for this time of year. Source: Fukuoka Prefecture, 9/11/2018
