The Hakata Gion Yamakasa Promotion Association held a new year’s meeting on Jan. 28 and announced their intention to display special Yamakasa floats during the G20 gatherings in June. Details of the floats are yet to be decided, but an exhibition of three floats including a spectacular Kazariyama in the meeting rooms of Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk is being considered. There is also a request for displaying Yamakasa floats at Rugby World Cup games.
