服部知事、日本に滞在する外国人と日本人が共生するために、今後も互いに理解を深める取り組みを行っていくと8月1日定例会見で回答。
県内には留学生や技能実習生など11万人を超える外国人がいることを提示し、自身の考えを5分以上かけて説明。「超少子高齢社会の中で、彼らの力なくしては経済・地域社会は維持できない。ただ、彼らは労働者とはいっても、働く機械でもなければ道具でもない。人であります。我々日本人と同じ人です。人と人が共生し理解をしあう社会をつくっていかなければならない」Source: RKB
