The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan opened its first office outside Tokyo in the Italia Kaikan (Il Centro Italiano di Fukuoka) on March 2. Doriano Sulis, the center’s director, said “Kyushu is a large but unknown market. We hope to create a network and introduce the Kyushu market to Italy.”

The legendary British fashion designer was in town to give a personal introduction to an exhibition of a collection of his art on display at Artium Gallery. His friendly advice to future designers: “be sure ask yourself what is special about my design and why would anyone want to buy it”.
Star Sings of Fukuoka
Juan Lewis Guerra, Latin Grammy award-winning musician and the headliner of last year’s Isla de Salsa festival in Fukuoka, recently released a single titled “Bachata Fukuoka” with lyrics reflecting on his fond memories of that first ever visit to Japan and Fukuoka.

Fukuoka Now released a special Chinese and English only version of our popular “Now Map” of Fukuoka. 120,000 copies will be distributed directly to disembarking passengers of 66 vessels arriving until mid October.
