
The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan opened its first office outside Tokyo in the Italia Kaikan (Il Centro Italiano di Fukuoka) on March 2. Doriano Sulis, the center’s director, said “Kyushu is a large but unknown market. We hope to create a network and introduce the Kyushu market to Italy.”

Juan Lewis Guerra, Latin Grammy award-winning musician and the headliner of last year’s Isla de Salsa festival in Fukuoka, recently released a single titled “Bachata Fukuoka” with lyrics reflecting on his fond memories of that first ever visit to Japan and Fukuoka.
