Bistro by the Bay

“Set in a quiet dockside area with a pleasant, salty breeze, Moon Side Bay is best known for its upbeat beach-party vibe and boldly-flavored international menu. There are hundreds of items on the menu, under giant sub-headings including “”salad,”” “”Jamaican”” and “”rice,”” but the seafood is one category you definitely shouldn’t miss. The whole Canadian lobsters cooked in one of five different styles (Thai, Chinese, steamed…) are superb, and a bargain at 2,500yen; likewise are the generous portions of shrimp cooked any style (garlic, Thai, salted and more) for 1,280yen. Not just the food but the non-stop cheer has this place packed by 8 pm most nights, with patrons of all ages and occupations perched on the 30-odd seats, jibing with the friendly staff. The well-stocked bar has “”anything”” you’d want to drink, promise the staff; including over 70 types of rum along with original cocktails, sake, wine and more. Good times and value-for-money guaranteed.”
