Japanese Fusion N.Y. De

This bright shop and cafe with a New York-ish interior is everything a deli should be: Healthy and innovative light food is served until late, the staff are super-friendly and efficient, and it’s open all hours for coffee or a light meal. Choose from the deli “plates” to eat in (which include rice or bread, miso or soup, and three side dishes), or get some treats to go by selecting from nearly 20 Japanese-style side dishes and Mediterranean antipastos and salads. Highly recommended are the bean dishes – try the Inaka Salad of chick peas, natto, leaf vegetables and fish. Most ingredients are hand-selected from semi-organic farms throughout Kyushu, and you’ll find a daily selection of such produce on sale along with homemade puddings, muffins and more. A nutritious alternative to regular takeout, and a great place for a quick beer or espresso at the counter or terrace seating.
