国連が採択した「持続可能な開発目標（SDGs）」の観点から、日本経済新聞が全国815の市区を評価した「全国市区 サステナブル・SDGs先進度調査」において、北九州市が総合2位を獲得した。市内企業と組み、環境技術を海外に輸出する取り組みなどが評価された。同市は、SDGsの達成に向けた取り組みを進めており、OECDの「SDGs達成に向けた世界のモデル都市」、国の「SDGs未来都市」に選定されるなど国内外から高い評価を受けている。 Source: fiba.jp
