Chindonya are troupes of elaborately costumed street musicians hired to draw customers to shops, stores, and cabarets. Once a crowd gathers they deliver sales messages and distribute flyers. This month we introduce you to Hideya Adachi, a former rock musician and radio announcer, who eleven years ago suddenly discovered the nearly extinct world of chindonya.
