We have new part-time shifts coming up in early January at our Nishijin and Yakuin schools.

Shane offers modern, well-resourced classrooms, a solid curriculum, and pre-planned, yet flexible English lessons to its customers aged 2 to 80 years old. What’s more we believe in allowing our teachers to use their creativity in working towards achieving solid langauge learning goals for our students.

The basic rate of pay is JPY2,800/hr plus reasonable transportation costs. There are also a variety of bonuses available, plus extra classes such as demo lessons and floating students in addition to your regular fixed students and classes. A shift will typically yield a payment of between 8,000 and 15,000 yen.

We are looking for native speakers of English with at least 2 years of teaching experience, and the ability to handle classes ranging from VYLs to TOEIC/IELTS/TOEFL and Advanced level adults. Enthusiastic and kind teachers with recognised English language teaching qualifications will be given priority.

Schools have a relaxed atmosphere, however teachers are required to dress smartly, and in line with the company’s dress-code.
