A festival to celebrate 777 years of Hakata-ori while be taking place inside ACROS this September. The history of this much-loved textile can be traced back to 1241, when a Hakata merchant was said to have brought back weaving techniques from the Song Dynasty of China. A wide range of items made with Hakata-ori including obi, kimono material, and accessories will be on display during the event. Visitors will also be able to purchase some of the featured products.
