The East Asia Regional Council of Schools (EARCOS) is holding a weekend workshop entitled ‘The Science of Learning Made Practical for the Classroom Teacher: Memory, Motivation, and Attention’ at the Fukuoka International School for teaching professionals. The workshop will be given by Andrew Watson, the author of the book ‘Learning Begins’ and founder and president of the educational consultancy ‘Translate the Brain’. The content will be split into two workshops from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. The first day will focus on the science of long-term memory and working memory within the classroom, and the second will look at student motivation and attention in a school environment. Following the first day there will be a networking event for participants of the workshop. Lunch and refreshments will be provided for two days.
