Fukuoka City-based consumer electronics mass merchandiser Best Denki announced it will establish a presence in the Middle East by opening its first store in Kuwait next May. The store will open through a franchise agreement with Al Yousifi Sons Co. Best Denki will thereby become the first Japanese company in this sector to open a store in the Arabian Gulf region. Al Yousifi plans to open five retail outlets in the country, and they project annual sales of 20 billion yen.
