City to Switch to Nighttime Bike Collections
The number of illegally parked bicycles in the city center remains high, so City Hall has decided to start removing bikes at night, moving away from the practice of mid-day collections for the areas of Tenjin, Daimyo and parts of Maizuru. The City has been stepping up its bike collection efforts since 2013, but with this move, it aims to further alleviate the problem, and will work closely with neighborhood groups and the police. If your bike has been removed, you can pick it up for a fee the following day at the impound lot located under the Urban Expressway in Nanotsu (3-7 Nanotsu, Chuo-ku).
