JR Kyushu said it will increase the number of limited express trains stopping at Kusami Station, the nearest rail station to Kitakyushu Airport, in a March timetable revision. From March 14, limited express stops will rise to 16 per day from the current 10, following a trial that began in April 2025 when limited express services first started calling at the station. The added stops will include Sonic, Nichirin Seagaia, and Kirameki services. JR Kyushu said the earliest planned train will be a downbound service in the 7 a.m. hour, while the latest will be an upbound service in the 10 p.m. hour. Local governments have promoted discounted tickets for transfers between the limited express and airport buses. Source: JR Kyushu
