The Imari-Yaki no Kai, a group of five Imari-based ceramics kilns in the Saga Prefecture city is finalizing plans to export the group’s products to Hong Kong. If an agreement can be successfully concluded, it will be the group’s first export deal. Local ceramics companies are concerned about stagnant domestic consumption, and they think the large high-income population of Hong Kong is a promising market. They also hope to establish an entry point for their products to China.
