Rugby World Cup Brought Record Beer Sales to Oita

Unsurprisingly, Rugby World Cup 2019 created a significant increase in beer consumption in Oita Prefecture during the tournament. According to an announcement by the prefecture on November 5, the number of visitors to the public viewing events at JR Oita Station reached 352,700, and they consumed at least 20,000 mugs of beer.
