Fukuoka City-based Saibu Gas revealed that it expects to suffer a non-consolidated loss for the year ending March 2009 due to skyrocketing liquid natural gas prices. This will be the company’s first current loss in 30 years. The company originally projected 3 billion yen in profit, but has revised that downwards to a loss of several billion yen, which would make it the worst loss in the company’s history.
