Bando Tamasaburo is one of Japan’s greatest onnagata (a male kabuki actor who performs female roles). Designated a National Living Treasure, a title given to those who promote an important part of traditional Japanese culture, this kabuki master performs with rising stars Shido Nakamura and Kotaro Nakamura.
