Even though there isn’t a menu, ordering is simple because there’s only a choice between a pork steak or beef tongue steak. The Kyushu-bred pork shoulder steak is cooked on an iron skillet and served medium rare, leaving just a hint of pink. The piping hot skillet is brought to your table, where you can then cook it to your liking before dipping it in the ginger soy sauce and digging in. You can also try the wasabi and grated daikon radish or spicy miso and garlic seasonings. Rice and miso soup refills are free, and you can request a “meat refill” for just ¥500.
Menu (tax incl.): Pork steak set ¥1,000, thick-cut beef tongue steak set ¥1,500, draft beer ¥500, shochu ¥500, wine/glass wine ¥700
*Prices to change from Oct. 1, 2019 following tax increase
