The Fukuoka Branch of Tokyo Shokoh Research revealed the results of its survey inquiring into the hometowns of company presidents and the universities from which they graduated. The leading home prefecture in Kyushu was Fukuoka, with 29,544 people. It ranked sixth nationwide. The survey studied about 2.10 million company presidents nationwide. Fukuoka University led as the regional alma mater of the corporate presidents, with 3,196 graduates now running companies throughout Japan.
