Fukuoka Based Collaborative Applies for Local 5G License

The Kyushu Institute of Technology and QTnet announced that they have applied for a license to operate “local 5G” services. The joint organization plans to create a 5G environment inside the Tobata Campus of the college as a part of its future-oriented campus project. The local network will be mainly used for its industry-academia collaborative research. It was the first application for the license submitted by a Kyushu-based organization.
