Fukuoka’s average hourly wage for part-time and temporary workers reached a record high of ¥1,063 in July 2024, a 3.3% increase from the previous year. This is the highest since comparable data became available in March 2018. The increase is largely driven by wage hikes in the food service and hospitality sectors in anticipation of October’s minimum wage revision.
