Nishitetsu Train Staff to Adopt Flexible Uniform Policy

Starting April 1, Nishitetsu will make hat-wearing optional for train crew members inside the driver’s cabin and allow conductors and drivers to wear polarized sunglasses year-round. The move aims to improve comfort and prevent heatstroke amid rising temperatures and changing workplace expectations. Around 340 train crew members across lines such as the Tenjin-Omuta Line will be affected. The sunglasses, produced by Osaka-based Talex, are designed to reduce fatigue without affecting color perception. Source: Nishitetsu
