On the night of June 15, four incidents of bag snatching, including attempted cases, occurred across Fukuoka City involving perpetrators on motorcycles. At around 9:00 p.m. in Minami Ward’s Okusu area, a 22-year-old nurse riding a bicycle had her bag, containing about ¥1,000 in cash, snatched by an individual on a motorcycle. Approximately 40 minutes later in Chuo Ward’s Imaizumi, a 28-year-old office worker experienced a similar crime, losing a bag with roughly ¥3,000. Security footage from a nearby shop shows a motorcycle passing the scene around the time of the incident. Later, additional attempts occurred in Maizuru and Tōjinmachi, also targeting women. Police are investigating the possibility of a single perpetrator being responsible for all the cases. Source: KBC
