Woman Casts Two Votes at Fukutsu Cit Early Voting Station

A voting irregularity occurred in Fukutsu City on July 13 when a woman cast two ballots during early voting for the House of Councillors election. According to the city’s election board, a man gave his ballot to the woman, who filled out both sheets despite staff intervention. When stopped, the man argued loudly, saying there was no problem, and during the distraction, the woman submitted both votes. Under current law, the ballots remain valid if correctly marked, as they cannot be removed from the sealed box before counting. Source: KBC
