The UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale)-sanctioned road race, Tour de Kyushu, returns for its third edition, unfolding across Kyushu. This year, the stage expands to five prefectures—Fukuoka, Kumamoto, Oita, with Nagasaki and Miyazaki joining the lineup. The race kicks off with a criterium in Sasebo, Nagasaki—a high-speed circuit race. From day two, 18 teams from Japan and abroad will tackle three consecutive days of racing, each stage covering more than 100 km across Nagasaki, Fukuoka, Kumamoto, Miyazaki, and Oita.

Tour de Kyushu showcases Kyushu’s unique landscapes and culture—challenging routes through dramatic caldera terrain and parade rides through covered shopping arcades. Each stage takes place on public roads over a course exceeding 100 km, with victory going to the first rider across the finish line. Expect intense team strategies and tactical battles along the way.
