Set within the serene grounds of Munakata Taisha, the revered annual Chrysanthemum Exhibition is a celebration of floral artistry, showcasing a magnificent array of chrysanthemums nurtured by dedicated enthusiasts from Kyushu and across Western Japan. Visitors can marvel at around 1,000 pots of these exquisite blooms, which, as dusk falls, are transformed by enchanting light-ups that accentuate their beauty. Beyond the visual feast, the exhibition also offers visitors the chance to purchase their own chrysanthemum seedlings and pots. A highlight is the Munakata Taisha Chrysanthemum Fortune-Telling, a popular no-lose lottery at ¥500 per ticket, where every participant wins a delightful prize, blending tradition with the joy of the season.
