The Kaigai Fukuoka Kenjinkai are overseas associations formed by Fukuoka-born emigrants and their descendants to support one another while living abroad. This year, the annual World Convention returns to Fukuoka, welcoming over 400 members from 39 associations across 24 countries and regions. To mark the occasion, a public fair will take place in the plaza in front of the Kihinkan Guest House. Food stalls will offer dishes from emigrant destinations such as Spain, Brazil, and Hawaii. Visitors can also enjoy live music and dance performances, as well as shop for local specialties including seasonal oysters and Yame tea.
