Nishitetsu To Introduce Cashless Discounts On Tourist Bus Routes

Nishitetsu announced it will introduce its first cashless fare discount on three bus routes popular with international visitors in Fukuoka starting April 1. Passengers who pay with transportation IC cards or contactless credit cards will receive a discount of 20 yen for adults and 10 yen for children. The program will apply to the Hakata Station–Fukuoka Airport International Terminal route, the Dazaifu Liner Bus “Tabito,” and a new express service connecting Tenjin Bus Terminal and Fukuoka Airport’s international terminal. The new route will operate 17 round trips daily using highway-style buses and take about 30 to 40 minutes, with a one-way fare of 500 yen. Meanwhile, fares on the Hakata–Airport and Hakata–Dazaifu routes will increase due to higher operating costs, including staffing for passenger guidance. Source: FNN / Nishitetsu Group
