An early summer flower event takes place at Shiraito Falls, a scenic spot nestled in the mountains of Itoshima. Around the 24-meter waterfall, approximately 100,000 hydrangeas from 5,000 plants bloom in vivid colors, creating a refreshing landscape alongside the mist and sound of cascading water.
Located on the slopes of Mt. Hagane at an elevation of 900 meters, the area is a popular summer retreat known for its cool mountain air. Visitors can enjoy the hydrangeas amid the natural beauty of the valley and the soothing sound of the falls. On the event day, a traditional mochi-throwing ceremony and hydrangea cut-flower giveaways will also be held while supplies last.
