Hachibei Targets 30 Japan Stores in Five Years

Fukuoka-based restaurant operator hachibei crew announced on June 1 that it plans to expand its Yakitori no Hachibei chain to 30 domestic locations within five years, tripling its current footprint of 10 stores in Japan. The company will strengthen its presence in Tokyo and Osaka while targeting new locations in Yokohama, Nagoya, and Sapporo. The expansion follows a management restructuring in March that introduced a dual-president system, with Junya Yashima overseeing domestic operations and Katsunori Yashima leading overseas growth. Hachibei currently operates five international locations and is maintaining its previously announced goal of reaching 100 stores worldwide within five years. The company is also continuing its business partnership with Torikizoku operator Eternal Hospitality Group to support future expansion. Source: Nikkei / Nishinippon Shimbun
