Kyushu International University in Kitakyushu announced plans to open a nursing faculty in April 2027. The university says it wants to help maintain a stable supply of nurses as several nursing schools in the city close. The new department will recruit 80 students and work with four Kitakyushu hospitals on practical training. Renovations to prepare the university’s buildings for the faculty are underway. Three information sessions about the new faculty are planned between late September and November. Source: RKB News Dig / Kyushu International University
