Japanet Holdings will open a new mail-order call center at Nagasaki Stadium City in January 2027 and hire about 300 employees, expanding its operations in its home prefecture while raising wages for non-regular workers. The Sasebo-based group currently operates 10 call centers in cities including Fukuoka and Tokyo, employing about 2,000 people. At Nagasaki Stadium City, an existing customer inquiry center in the office tower will be expanded roughly tenfold to about 750 square meters and converted into a call center for Japanet’s mail-order business.
The company is also increasing basic pay for approximately 1,000 contract and part-time employees working across its Nagasaki Prefecture operations from October. The average increase will be 13%, with some employees receiving raises of up to about 24%. Hourly wages for part-time staff at Nagasaki Stadium City will rise by as much as 180 yen to 1,220 yen -1,350 yen , while contract employees could receive monthly increases of up to 42,000 yen.
President and CEO Akito Takata said Japanet wants to take a leading role in improving wage levels and working conditions in Nagasaki. The measures come as competition for workers intensifies across regional Japan and reflect the company’s broader effort to strengthen local employment while expanding its business in Nagasaki.
