Nanakuma Line adds morning trains from Nov. 24

Fukuoka’s Nanakuma subway line will add four weekday morning services in each direction from Nov. 24. The revised timetable adds one service each way during the 7 a.m. hour, two during the 8 a.m. hour and one during the 9 a.m. hour. Mayor Soichiro Takashima said the change would increase morning carrying capacity by about 2,000 passengers. Crowding has become a concern as passenger numbers have grown since the extension to Hakata Station. The city also plans to introduce six-car trains in fiscal 2030. Source: FBS News / KBC News
