Fukuoka’s Yatai to Face Checks
All 155 Yatai in central Fukuoka City will be checked by government officials to see if they are following the Yatai business guidelines. The checks will begin in July and continue monthly with results being published on the City’s homepage in October and March. Businesses which don’t do well in the checks may face difficulty qualifying for the permits required for each Yatai. The City is hoping that an improvement in Yatai operations will boost tourism.
