Full Length of Kyushu Shinkansen Line to Open by Apr. 28
The Kumamoto ~ Shin-Minamata section of the Kyushu Shinkansen line is still closed due to damage from recent earthquakes. JR Kyushu has announced that repairs are expected to be completed by Apr. 28 (Thu.). The derailed train in this section, which was hindering the repair work, was removed on Apr. 24 (Sun.).
