After university, penniless and broken-hearted, Christian traveled thousands of kilometers from Melbourne to Cairns to visit an old friend. Little did he know his ‘temporary’ job at the local casino during this visit would become his career and lead him to his future wife. One fateful day he met Tomoko at the “Money Wheel” and they both hit the jackpot, so to speak. Now married, the couple live in her hometown of Fukuoka. Christian is the Principal of the West Japan Casino School which specializes in training young Japanese in the art of all things casino. If gambling is legalized in Japan, these students will be well ahead of the game. In the meantime, they are getting the chance to work overseas in casinos frequented by Japanese tourists.
