Experienced English Language Teacher – Looking for July Start

Introduction
The strengths that I have honed throughout my education for my future career in teaching have provided me with the attributes to be an excellent candidate for a position as an English Language Teacher. After graduating from university with a History degree and completing TEFL, I am now a qualified English teacher and have obtained knowledge which aids in the understanding and accepting of the unique attributes of history, heritage, culture, language and individualism. I have currently been living and working in Japan as a Language teacher for the past three years in the Shizuoka area. My experiences have implanted in me the importance of making use of self-control, patience, hard work, flexibility, punctuality, enthusiasm and an energetic nature in everything I set out to do. I am a hard working individual who is more than happy to work as part of a team but can also work independently when needed. I have confidence that throughout these and other experiences, I will be able to bring a strong work ethic, a willingness to share experiences and knowledge.

Employment History
Hario English School (Jun 2019 – present)
I currently teach at a local school in Fuji. I teach kindergarten, elementary, junior high school and high school students. I use the PLS system to teach students how to use and understand English. As I teach students of different ages I have to adapt my lessons to meet their needs and requirements. But I also try to make lessons both enjoyable and educational. As well as teaching PLS lessons and conversations lessons. I also teach grammar lessons and EIKEN lessons.

Nova (Sept 2016 – Apr 2019)
I taught conversational English to students as young as 3 years old and to adults. I aim to teach students valuable language skills that are vital for them to have a successful conversation in English. I also answer any questions that students may have about the language or anything relating to the topic if students are stuck or would like to expand their abilities I am always there to help them. As I teach young children, I always try to make the lessons as engaging as possible so that the younger students can enjoy the lessons and have fun but also learn at the same time. In my classes I aim to create a relaxed atmosphere as I feel that students feel more comfortable and will engage more in the lessons. As well as teaching conversational English I also teach a number of other courses to students such as TOEIC, EIKEN and Business English Lessons which is great for those students who are aiming for specific personal or work related goals.

My degree focuses who on the making of the modern world in a lively intellectual framework of controversy and debates. My History degree covers the social, cultural, economic and political history of a range of countries, continents and regions, such as Britain, Europe, America, Australia, India, Asia and Africa in the late eighteenth, nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Also during my time at university, I was president of the Visual Arts society.

Interests and hobbies
