We are currently looking for a full time salesperson to join our team in Fukuoka, Japan. In this role, you would help build our business in sourcing and exporting used vehicles from Japan to various countries around the world. Main markets include, but are not limited to, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Europe, and the USA.
In This Role, You Will Need To
Actively manage current accounts with daily requests for purchase
Respond to inbound inquiries for new sales via various communication channels (Email, messenger, phone, Etc…)
Provide clear descriptions of vehicles from photos, auction sheets (translation from Japanese required), and descriptions from colleagues (English and Japanese)
Track sales and shipping information, sharing this clearly and timely with clients
Prepare and send invoicing, as well as keep track of incoming payments from your client list
Provide solutions for additional requests from customers, looking into new opportunities for business related to current operations
Cooperate with a multilingual team across Japan, in English and Japanese
You Should Have
Business level English
1-2 years of sales/marketing experience
General automotive knowledge such as:
Common makes and models
Technical features on cars such as 4WD, Locking differentials, performance parts and upgrades, etc
Ability to assess condition of a used vehicle and accurately portray this to customers
Ability to live and work in Japan
Working proficiency with common computer programs (Email, MS Office, Google Docs, Web Browsing, Messengers, etc)
Other Helpful (But Not Required) Traits
Interest in Japanese automobiles
Previous experience any of the following industries
Possession of Japanese driver’s license with manual transmission allowance
