Enjoy sophisticated works of ikebana (Japanese art of flower arrangement), including 11 huge displays at the first-floor Atrium in ACROS Fukuoka. There are a total of 290 arrangements (some at Fukuoka City Hall, some at ACROS Fukuoka), and guests are introduced to 23 different intricate styles representing Fukuoka. Make sure to come during both the first (Jun. 1 ~ 3) and second term (Jun. 4 ~ 6), as the exhibits are different for each term! Gentlemen can join a men-only beginners’ ikebana class on Jun. 2 (Thu.) (starts at 19:00, ¥1,000, first come, first served, 24 people max.). On Jun. 4 (Sat.), why not try the parent-and-child ikebana lesson? Parents can come with their children (ES and JHS) and enjoy the ikebana experience as a family (13:30~ and 15:00~, adults: ¥1,000 and child: ¥500, first come, first served, 24 people max.). Both classes will take place at Seminar Room 1 (2F) at ACROS Fukuoka.
