Monpe-style pants were traditionally worn by farmers and widely seen in Japan during the wartime period. Made with Kurume Kasuri, a natural cotton fabric which is a good material for a garment that was predominantly worn by workers, the pants are comfortable and easy to wear. In recent times monpe is gaining wider popularity among the general public. If you want to discover more and find out about the latest monpe trends, then make sure to check out this exhibition.
